Cherries Frozen Into Ice Balls

This came out great!

Using this technique with the Thermos Funtainer and ice ball molds I put some cherries inside ice ball molds atop the Thermos and froze them.

Nothing complicated, these looked awesome.

  1. I’d like to see berries done this way.

  2. That looks great! Did you pit the cherries first? Just curious as I _finally_ got a bar freezer at home and I’m pulling out all of my clear ice molds and stuff and can’t wait to get back to making clear ice.

  3. I did not pit the cherries first as they’re fresh now and I’m not planning to eat them after they thaw.

how did the cherries look when they thawed out?

  5. @Shannon – I think they still looked fine, but honestly I don’t remember! Because they’re still frozen when the ice melts I never waited the extra 20 minutes or whatever and ate them afterward; probably just threw them away.
