Camper English/Alcademics has developed and served cocktails, led tastings, and created educational displays for such events as:

Alcademics/Camper’s events and tastings typically have an educational angle and a scientific aesthetic, rather than simple bartending service. (Should you want a general bartending service for events we’d be happy to recommend some great local companies.) Camper regularly provides cocktail service at Google in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Past themes have included a make-your-own Gin & Tonic Bar, Engraved Ice, a Martini Vortex, Clarified Cocktails, and bars dedicated to a variations of a single drink such as the Old Fashioned, Paloma, and Moscow Mule.

Most of Camper’s talks have included experimental or guided tastings, and these can be adapted for corporate events and possibly team-building exercises.

Private Tastings, Tours, and Classes

Camper is available for private tastings and tutorials on any number of drink-related topics or categories, for groups or individuals. As a writer for magazines including Saveur, the San Francisco Chronicle, Whisky Advocate, and Popular Science, and a judge of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Camper is a specialist in all spirit categories – and knowing the legal and taste profile differences between them. He’s knowledgeable about the history of spirits and cocktails, and is a leading expert on the science behind them, making for some fascinating conversations and cocktails.

Custom Cocktails and Recipe Development

Camper creates custom cocktails for special events such as weddings, Meet-Ups, and other corporate events, and is available to bartend those events as well. Camper’s original cocktails have been featured in Every Day with Rachael Ray, FineCooking.com, The Cocktail Collective, and Gary Regan’s Annual Manual for Bartenders. Camper has developed recipes for companies including Campari and Tabasco.
