The Top Five Absinthe Cocktails
Now that absinthe is legal in America, what are you going to do with it?
I share some information about absinthe and suggest the five best cocktails in which to use it.
Great piece! Just had a pretty unbelievable absinthe cocktail made by Jon Arroyo in DC. The pairing seemed really odd, but seriously, ask any of your favorite bartenders around town to put it together and hopefully you’ll be as surprised as I was. Yeah yeah yeah, it has Canton – what am I gonna do?
Unnamed Kubler/Absinthe cocktail:
1 ounce Domaine de Canton
3/4 ounce Kubler Absinthe
3/4 fresh lime juice
3/4 ounce mint simple syrup
3-4 pieces of fresh ginger
Muddle lime, mint, and ginger together in a mixing glass. Add mint simple syrup, Domaine de Canton, and Absinthe add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
